They’re here!

Fifty women, representing 28 countries of service and 41 mission agencies have converged for the retreat at Beaver Creek, Colorado. The hotel lobby came alive with excitement, laughter, reunions, and anticipation of what is to come.

As we meet these ladies, we hear many stories, like…

A & M, sisters who serve in Uganda with their families in different organizations and are attending their second Thrive retreat. They are excited to attend a retreat together and enjoy sister time during their pampering.

M also serves in Uganda ministering to refugees. She was thrilled to discover that A & M were also at this retreat, whom she has only interacted with on a private Facebook group of global workers serving in Uganda. This is their first face-to-face meeting.

J, who has served in Russia for 34 years, is attending a retreat for her third time. She says that Thrive ministered to her in the past through counseling and small group sessions. After her self-care appointments at the previous retreats, she felt like a brand-new person and refreshed to return to the field.

J serves in an undisclosed location. While in the US, her mind has been focused on returning to her field and Thrive was not even on her radar. Due to the extended time stateside because of COVID-19, she was encouraged by a Thrive volunteer at her supporting church to attend this retreat and is excited to experience what she has only heard about. She is especially appreciative to the donor that sponsored her registration and transportation costs.

This is just a snapshot of the women that will be ministered to, pampered, encouraged, and lifted up in prayer. We are trusting and know that our Heavenly Daddy will meet each one as they come before Him and allow Him to pour into them.
