Women ministering overseas are often depleted from living and serving cross-culturally, coupled with family and ministry demands. They need care, connection, and community.
Thrive, along with the help of volunteers like you, meets these needs by providing spiritual, emotional, and physical care at quarterly retreats. This holistic approach results in renewal and refreshment to help global workers continue to thrive on the field.
Our volunteers come from a variety of denominational backgrounds across the U.S. and Canada. This short-term trip is unique, because it gives Christian women the opportunity to minister to the hearts of cross-cultural workers serving with multiple sending agencies.
A typical retreat involves 25–30 volunteers onsite. No special skills are required to volunteer at Thrive retreats. While there are some roles that require particular skills and training (worship leaders, hair stylists, massage therapists, counselors, etc.), we primarily need women with servants’ hearts who are willing to serve in any way possible to extend love and grace to the attendees!
