Thrive is hosting a special get-away at the The Charter at Beaver Creek (Beaver Creek, Colorado) for you and a limited number of other U.S. and Canadian women who live and work cross-culturally.

The value of your retreat experience is approximately $780. However, the only cost to you is a registration fee of US $125.00 and any travel expenses to and from the Retreat. We provide your room and meals, starting with dinner the first evening of the Retreat.

The retreat will include many opportunities for:

We will begin at 3:30 p.m. on the first afternoon and conclude at 1:30 p.m. on the closing day. We only have space for 50 attendees per retreat, so be sure to make your reservation soon!

Retreat Policies

Because our goal is to provide a time of rest and relaxation for every woman who attends the retreat, we are unable to accommodate babies or additional family members at the retreat. We have found in the past that mothers have a hard time really connecting or relaxing when they have to attend to their baby's needs. Also, we need to be sensitive to the other women in attendance, both during the meetings as well as sleeping accommodations. We would love to have you join us if your child can be left with your husband. We'll be thinking of you as you make your decision - we know it is tough!

Travel Arrangements

On our first day of the retreat, check-in (including sign up for your Self Care appointments) will begin at 1:30 p.m. with our first meeting at 3:30 p.m. We will conclude at 1:30 p.m. on the final day of the retreat. As you are arranging your flight or travel plans, please do your best to join us for the entire retreat.

Retreat Communication

Upon approval, you will be sent a confirmation email with further details. You will receive several additional emails from us before the retreat. Please check your inbox frequently during this time to ensure you have the necessary information. We want you to feel informed and able to look forward to the retreat with eager expectation!

Registration Fee

A $125 USD registration fee will be required to officially hold your spot. Please submit this fee during your registration or within 15 days of acceptance to reserve your space at the retreat. Please remember that the registration fee must be paid in U.S. dollars and is non-refundable.

Church Referral

We would like to contact your key supporting churches to let them know about your upcoming retreat experience. We will also introduce them to Thrive’s dynamic free resources to support and encourage cross-cultural workers.

In addition, we will invite them to pray for you while you attend the retreat and to financially partner with Thrive to provide this time of refreshment for you. We trust in the Lord’s provision as we continually seek full funding for each attendee. Our experience shows that local churches are often looking for unique ways to provide practical love and support for their workers. You can rest assured we will honor your financial relationship with them. They are under no obligation. An option will be provided on the Registration Form if you prefer we contact a stateside family member or friend to provide the contact information for your supporting churches.

Cancellation

It is VERY common for our retreats to fill up before the registration deadline. Therefore, once you have been accepted into the retreat, your registration fee is due within 15 days. Should you need to cancel, out of consideration for those on the waiting list and for the donors who have provided this gift, please notify us of your cancellation as soon as possible. This will allow time to notify the next woman on the waiting list of the opening so she can make travel arrangements to join us. You may not transfer your reservation to a friend, since preference will be given to women on the waiting list. Our contract with the facility requires that we pay based on a number of guests guaranteed before our arrival. Please help us be good stewards of the financial gifts given to provide this unique time of encouragement for you!

Please Note

Retreat attendees must currently be a full time, support based, cross-cultural worker living outside North America. We ask that you only attend one of our retreats during your career. We would like to reach as many women as possible with this generous gift! A wait list is available for repeat attendees.

• All other personal expenses incurred while traveling will be yours to cover (such as tourist activities, personal shopping, extra snacks, etc.).

• Registration and check in is from 1:30 – 3:00. Please arrive as close to 1:30 as possible since that is when you will be able to sign up for afternoon activities!

• Our first session will begin promptly at 3:30 p.m. The retreat concludes at 1:30 p.m. on the closing day. Please make your travel plans to enjoy the entire retreat experience!
